Arsenal dominated the pitch in the start of the game and apparently throughout the game as they put on an incredible performance. At about half an hour mark, Arsenal's box to box midfielder Aaron Ramsey splashed to the far corner of the net a low shot hitting the woodwork in the process to give the home side the lead though he has been denied a first goal by the refree after a New Castle United player is brought down in their own box.

The Gunners struggled to extent their lead until Arsenal and France Forward Alexandre Lacazette put Arsenal 2 nill up to affirm their victory in the second 45 minutes of the game by flipping on top of the goal keeper a nice head pass from his partner Aubameyang. The visitors tried all they could to get a consolation goal but all to no avail as the home side grabbed all the 3 points in the game and moving up dramatically to 3rd place on the Premier League table for the first time since the beginning of the season.
Lacazette

Mesut Ozil had a good game yesterday alongside Alexandre Lacazette and substitute Aubameyang and He (Ozil) has taken to his social media to express his happiness in the win yesterday and the reason he is happy is because Arsenal are now two points ahead of their North London Rivals (Tottenham).

He said "Our aim is to get into the top four. Of course we're happy that we're in front of Tottenham. It's always a big competition with them"

"If we play like today, we have a few more games in front of us and we want to win them. We want to take all the points to get into the top four at the end of the Season." He added.

The World Cup winner also received the award for the Man of the Match Performance after the game.

Can Arsenal book their place in the Champions League next season with just seven games left in the Premier League Season including an outstanding match?
