He was later joined by his deputy, Engr (Mrs) Noimot Salako-Oyedele and thereafter embarked on inspection to the Civil Service Commission and Ministries of Finance and Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Abiodun later held a closed-door meeting security chiefs that ran into several hours before addressing reporters.

He said his administration would look holistically into the education industry for the primary to tertiary levels.
Abiodun expressed worries over the low performance of students, despite the largest number of schools spread across the state.

“We are going to look at every programme of this government through prism of settling them. We have to focus on primary and tertiary education. We have to bring them up from scratch.
“We have the largest number of schools in the state. However, the performances of our students are on the decline. We may be declaring emergency in the education sector,” he said.
