Oluwo Lauds Oyetola for Fulfilling Electioneering Promise

Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba (Dr ) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has pledged his loyalty to the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the State of Osun as they set to construct Iwo-Osogbo road after budgetary approval.

Oba Akanbi equally commended the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo for respecting peoples popular request on Iwo-Osogbo road construction during the last presidential campaign visit to his palace in Iwo, State of Osun.Osinbajo vowed to ensure the road is given priority, a promise made and kept.

Oluwo,who acted on reliable tip off on final approval of the road paid a thank you visit to the Governor of the State of Osun, Gboyega Oyetola at the government house in Osogbo, the state capital. He equally commended the honourable Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola for considering the road under his watch.

As hinted, the road has been consented for standard construction as the mapping and other necessary structural engineering paper designs are at top gears while work is billed to commence in earnest.

It could be recalled that the state and federal government included the road as parts of their electioneering campaign during the last political campaign to Oluwo palace.

Oba Akanbi described the road as the economic heart of the ancient city of Iwo, harped on expediency to meet populace expectation.

While expressing his gratitude to government authority, Oluwo also called on consideration of Iwo-Ibadan road by the federal administration to promote bilateral economic activities between Osun and Oyo State
