Oyetola’s Appeal Court Victory Reaffirms People’s Mandate – AKOL

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last Presidential and National Assembly elections for Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, Dr. Olasiji Olamiju has hailed the victory of Governor Gboyega Oyetola at the Court of Appeal held in Abuja, the Federal Capital territory.

Following the verdict passed in Abuja which upheld the governorship election of Governor Gboyega Oyetola, Dr Olamiju described this as a further reaffirmation of the people’s mandate who came out in their thousands to vote Governor Oyetola in the September 22 and 27 governorship elections and rerun respectively.

The Pharmaceutical doctor popularly known as Akol made this known in a statement he issued personally in Osogbo, today (Thursday).

According to the statement, “On behalf of the good people of Obokun and Oriade, I congratulate the All Progressives Congress (APC) and His Excellency, Governor Gboyega Oyetola on his judicial victory at the Court of Appeal thus reaffirming the popular votes given to the people’s governor by the majority of the people in a free, fair and peaceful governorship election held in the state.

“The judgment passed by the Court of Appeal held in Abuja which emphatically upheld the victory of Governor Gboyega Oyetola against PDP’s Senator Ademola Adeleke signifies a reinforced determination and commitment to achieve a truly democratic Nigeria devoid of electoral pilfering and sludge in all echelon” he said.

“There is no room for dispiritedness. The great people of Osun should hold their heads high and be confident that they have voted for true democracy and good governance. They have shown their intolerance for electoral robbery and have left no one in doubt that their votes must count, the leadership in the state led by Governor Oyetola will ensure all campaign promises are delivered to the benefit of our people” he added.
