There's amity between Oyetola and Aregbesola -Famodun
The chairmanof the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Osun State, Prince Gboyega Famodun, has cleared the air on those who have been spreading the rumour that there is a lingering rift between former Governor Rauf Aregbesola and his successor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.
Prince Famodun in an interview programme on *Rave Fm* which was transmitted in Osun State this afternoon said there is a cordial relationship between Aregbesola and Oyetola.
The APC state chairman who said it was the figment of imagination of those who were spreading such unfounded rumour in order to create needless acrimony between the two foremost APC leaders in the state.
Famodun queried that if there was a skirmish between Aregbesola and Oyetola, how could it have been possible for Oyetola to accompany Aregbesola to Abuja where he was honoured for exemplary performance in office just last Friday?
The state party chairman enjoined the peace-loving residents of the state in particular and Nigerians in general to disregard such news of disharmony between the two political leaders in the state as it was cooked up for primordial intention.
The prince of Igbajoland said he wondered what the fake news peddlers stand to gain if not to create tension where it doesn't exist.
In his words: "I was part of the team that accompanied former Osun State Governor Aregbesola to Abuja few days ago where he was honoured by the presidency in the presence of Govenor Oyetola.
"Where then exist the rift between the duo? It is only existing in the imagination of the emmissaries of rift who have been disappointed as nothing of such is existing".
Speaking on the party's choice of speaker for the state House of Assembly in the next dispensation, he said the party leadership would speak on that when it's auspicious to do so.
It was the same response he gave to the raging scheming for enthronement of new state APC chairman in the state.
According to him, he is not aware that the state secretary of the party is advancing the course of Osun West Senatorial District for the next state chairman of the party, adding that " I cannot believe the fact that Alhaji Salinshile is making case for the next state party chairman to come from the West until he says so on the Rave fm".
Famodun also disclosed that he is convinced that the state governor will form his cabinet as soon as necessary requirements for such are in place soonest
The state party chairman also used the interview forum to dispel the rumour that the APC purchased the recent Appeal Court governorship judgement for N2billion, saying "there is no iota of truth in the allegation as it was merely cooked up by the opposition to cause disaffection against the APC".
