Osogbo remains Peaceful

Contrary to unfounded rumour and misinformation circulated through social media platforms that Osogbo, the capital of Osun is boiling, that certain zones within the metropolis remain a No - Go area, the Deputy Governor of the State, Olugboyega Alabi has assured residents to go about their lawful business without any form of intimidation or threat to lives.

Moments ago, Mr. Alabi accompanied by the Osun State Commissioner of Police, other security agencies, the SSG Wole Oyebamiji, CoS Charles Akinola, Supervisors for Finance and Works, Bola Oyebamiji and Remi Omowaiye, and the Chief Security Officer to the Governor, SP. Dauda visited Oke Fia, Old Garage, Isale Osun, volatile Egbatedo areas of Osogbo. This is to dispel unconfirmed reports that the security of the state have collapsed.

In the same vein, the Governor, Gboyega Oyetola equally met with the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Buratai, the Inspector General of Police and the DG of Directorate of State Services in their Abuja offices today in a bid to strengthen the security cord of state along the Ibadan - Ife/Ilesa expressway to curb the spate of kidnapping and banditry threatening the peaceful coexistence which the state had enjoyed in the last eight years
