GOV. OYETOLA GIVES MAIDEN ADDRESS, DEDICATES SUPREME COURT VICTORY TO OSUN PEOPLE

Consequent upon Supreme Court judgment earlier today, which affirmed the September 2018 election of Mr. Gboyega Oyetola of the State of Osun as the duly elected Governor of the state, Mr. Oyetola has, bout a couple of hours ago, given his maiden public address.

In his speech, which was widely reported by state and other broadcast media, the Governor dedicated his victory at the Supreme Court to the good people of his state, who according to him, joined his struggle "in navigating the twists and turns of the road to justice".

The Governor said: "The Supreme Court judgment is an affirmation of our conviction that the Will of the Almighty exercised through the voters cannot be subverted.

"The victory is a call to duty. It's indeed a challenge to us all to muster the courage and strength to do more".

More so, Governor Oyetola called for umity among political stakeholders in the state, adding that it was high time they saw the state as one regardless of political party affiliation.

"Accordingly, we all should join hands in the development of our dear state", the Governor said.
