Oyetola Fulfills Promise, Commences Upgrading And Rehabilitation Of Asubiaro General Hospital

The Governor, State of Osun Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has again demonstrated capacity and capability as a welfarist and the Masses servant, in fulfillment of his promise when he paid an unscheduled visit to the Asubiaro General Hospital, Osogbo five weeks ago.

You recall that during the inspection and assessment tour which took the IleriOluwa proprietor round the entire hospital complex, he promised to look into the books and commence immediate rehabilitation/upgrading, which will involve equipping the health facility with modern day medical equipment so it can meet standards obtainable in today's world.

In a short interview after the tour, "This Asubiaro hospital is where the masses, commoners, average citizens, less privileged and the down trodden receive medical treatment to their health challenges, my administration will ensure it is adequately & medically functional within the shortest possible time, and this is in addition to the 332 Primary Health Centres PHCs, Ejigbo and Ifetedo General hospitals where work have commenced already. My belief that a healthy Osun populace is a productive state is sacrosanct", Oyetola vowed.

A visit to the hospital today showed that all contractors have moved to site as a bulldozer was seen deforesting the hospital complex, which has always served as the habitat for monkeys and wild animals terrorising patients and medical staff over time. Other artisans of Osun origin were citied working on the Accident Trauma Centre, Comprehensive Theatre Complex, Laboratory & Blood Bank buildings.

It was also learnt that the Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has also graciously approved the construction of a new Doctors Quarters which will accommodate well above 40 Medical Officers and a new 120 Bedded Admission Ward Complex to cater for the needs of the populace.

Few patients who spoke with our correspondent showered encomium and praises on the workaholic & performing Governor, praying to God to give him the strength, wisdom, abundant financial resources to fulfill all his good desires for the state.
