ONA BABA ONA: CONTRACTOR BACK TO SITE

Less than 48hours after the governor, State of Osun, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola gave a marching order to the contractor handling The 18km Oba Adesoji Aderemi East/West Bye-Pass aka Ona Baba Ona: Slava Yeditepe Construction Company to return to site, it was observed that work have started in full swing at the Dele Yes Sir roundabout today.

Recall that the road project which gave birth to 5 new bridges and many culverts, construction of railway underpass & inter change, provision of street lights commenced during the regime of the immediate past governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

The project was designed to give beautification to the state capital, Osogbo; also to complete the circular road which will ease vehicular movement in and out of Osogbo to connect to other major cities in the state. Slava had completed the first phase from the Ido Osun axis to Ilesa garage.

Due to the intervention of Oyetola, whose mission in government is continuity and  consolidation, had met all road contractors with an understanding to complete all ongoing road construction started by his predecessor. As we speak, Ratcom Nigeria Ltd. is back on the Gbongan - Ode Omu - Akoda road, Sammya Construction has also resumed back to the Osogbo - Ikirun - Ila Odo Kwara boundary.

Recently, Oyetola commenced the rehabilitation of intracity roads in the state notably in Ede, Ikire, Ife, Ilesa, Osogbo, Ikirun and Iragbiji. The governor has also assured Osun populace that rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Iwo - Osogbo road will soon commence, as efforts are in top gear by the Federal Ministry of Works and FERMA to award the contract.
