OSHA Speaker Roll Out Scholarships To Students Of College Of HEALTHTEC, Ilesa ~ Nationnewslead


Friday, 23rd August, 2019, the Speaker of the State of Osun House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye joined the students, lecturers and staff of the State of Osun College of Health Technology, Ilesa as they wound up the celebration of their Students' Union Week which is an annual event organized by the College's Students' Union Government to celebrate and give the opportunity to tell stories of success through a week of awards and showcases in partnership with the College's Administration sharing the very best of what notable individuals of the society, staff and students have achieved.


At the occassion, the OSHA Speaker, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye was presented with an award of Outstanding Excellence in appreciation of years of dedication and committed legislative services.

Osun State College of Health Technology provides training for competent health care providers to meet the changing healthcare needs.

Speaking after receiving the award, the Speaker said; "I have discussed with the SUG President about the ongoing project of the SUG building, I will assist on its completion and today, I want to roll out scholarship to each department of the college which means one student from each of departments, which are General Studies, Environmental Health, Community Health, Medical Laboratory, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Laboratory, Dental Health, Health Information Management.

"The School Management, the SUG and the Head of Departments to participate at the selection of the beneficiaries without being partial."

The Speaker also promised to use his position to make sure that the college is autonomous to have its own Governing Board.

Present at the occasion were the Provost of the college, Dr. F. M. Olaoye, Chief Ogedengbe, the Obanla of Ilesa, the academic staff and students of the college and some invited dignitaries.
