Pray for Oyetola's govt during Eid-El-Kabir festival, Famodun tasks Osun Muslims


Osun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Gboyega Famodun, has felicitated with Muslims across the state for being beneficiaries of the magnanimity of Allah for being counted worthy to be  partakers in this year's Eid-El-Kabir festival.

Famodun in a statement issued by his Media Consultant, Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo today reminded the Muslims that it was not by their might but through the blessing of Allah that they are alive to celebrate the annual Islamic festival.

The APC chairman stated that the Eid-El-Kabir festival should not be dedicated to merriment alone but a crucial period to pray for the the nation's political leaders for God's guidance in their daily handling of human affairs.

The Igbajo-born APC state chairman said it would not be too much for Muslims in Osun State to domesticate their own prayers by praying for the successful administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola's administration in particular and that of President Mohammed Buhari in general.

He stated that it was only when the led ceaselessly pray for the leaders that God's blessings are spread across the nooks and crannies of the state.

Famodun enjoined the Muslims to continue to show love and extend hands of fellowship to the less-privileged members of the society during this festival as it is through such posture that God's blessing would continue to be with cheerful givers and non-discriminating philanthropists.

The party chairman advised the Muslims to celebrate the important annual Islamic festival with moderation in order not to run foul of the laws of the land.

According to him: "I congratulate all the Muslims on the celebration of this year's Eid-El-Kabir. May Allah be kind enough to allow you to celebrate many more of the festivals on earth.

"It is true it is a period for merriment. But this auspicious time should also be used by our Muslim brothers and sisters to pray for the successful administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola's government to enable us benefit from the good things of the land.

"It should also be a time to pray for President Mohammed Buhari in his numerous efforts to provide dividends of democracy for all the people of this nation", he said.

Famodun also has a word of advice for the law enforcement agents who are statutorily saddled with the responsibility to keep peace to be civil in carrying out their activities in the interest of sustainable peace across the state during the festival.
