Obokun APC Chairman, Ismaila Is Dead, AKOL Mourns


Alhaji Ismaila Kehinde, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Obokun Local Government has died at the age of 59.


Ismaila, who was until his death, the APC Chairman of Obokun East Local Council Development Area (LCDA), died during a brief illness at Osogbo central hospital, today (Monday).

In a statement issued by his media aide, in Osogbo, Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in the last general elections, Dr. Olasiji Olamiju - AKOL , described the news of Ismaila’s death as a great shock, adding that his death was a big loss to the people of Otan-Ile, Obokun and the state at large.

“The news of Ismaila’s death is a great loss not only to his family and the local council but to the State in general, given his contributions to the successes recorded by the party in previous elections,’’ he said.

Olamiju said that Ismaila died when his services were most needed in the party, adding that his death had created a big vacuum that would be difficult to fill.

While commiserating with members of his immediate family, political associates and friends, the Pharmaceutical doctor urged them to accept his death as an act of God.

“I urge you to take solace in the life that he lived. I have no doubt that Ismaila’s political and leadership style will continue to be felt by many.

“I offer you our deep condolences while praying the Almighty God to grant you, the rest of your family, the grace to endure this irreparable loss,” Olamiju said.
