Meet The New Special Adviser To Governor Oyetola On Public Health

Dr. Olasiji Akanmu Olamiju AKOL is a public health expert, a pharmaceutical doctor by training, an entrepreneur per excellence and a serial philanthropist.

He hails from Esa-Oke, in Obokun East Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Osun.

He clearly stands out in the congregation of indigenes of the State who have distinguished themselves in different spheres of life.

He attended NUD primary school between 1979 and 1986. St Joseph High School 1986 and 1989. Esa-Oke grammar school from 1989 to 1992.

He was the Senior Boy and Prefect at all above named schools; won several academic medals for same too.

Ipetu Ijesa Grammar School (1992-93) Had overall best WAEC result.

Was in Edo State University, EDSU (1994-96), where he led the use of English GNS 101 in the whole university as an Electronic Engineering student. Left EDSU for Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in 1996, where he studied Pharmacy in 2002, Master's Degree (2006-08). Doctor of Pharmacy in Pharmacotherapeutics, (Pharm.D), UNIBEN, Benin city (2010-2015).

He is a Fellow of West Afrcan Post Graduate College of Pharmacist.

With several years of working experience. He joined politics voluntary in 2003 under AD, has been financier of AC, ACN and APC since 2004. He is a party Leader in Obokun.

He was a member of 6-man Special Committee on Health, State of Osun. A consultant Clinical Pharmacist. He was the GMD, AKOL GROUPS. A multi million, multiple brand business he founded years ago.

He was the House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last general elections.

Presently, he is the Special Adviser to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on Public Health.
