Video: Osun Students Continue Protest To Demand For Improvement Of College


The students of Osun State College of Health Technology Ilesa continue their protest tagged: Days of Rage, today in Ilesa.


Nationnewslead gathered that they took to the street to laments on their agitation from the state government for proper intervention towards the state of the college.

The peaceful protest took off as early as 8:00am from the college's main gate, which has been shut down from academic activities, to the streets of bolunduro, Olomigbala and Round-about area of Ilesa community.

Nationnewslead learnt that the students chants for freedom as they move in masses all around the street, displaying placard, inwhich they wrote their various demands and other sort of necessity which was hindered on the campus soil. They showed their displeasure over the non accreditation of the course offered, describing it as pathetic and sardonic which makes their future to be sealed and very unfortunate for them, if the situation persist and proper ratification is not done.

The said movement, which was said to be have undergo due process, as they had wrote a letter to the Department of State Security service (DSS), Nigeria Police Force, Area commander and Ijamo Police station station dated 8th of October, 2019 and copy of the letters were duly received.

During the protest engagement at Round About area of Ilesa, journalists from Uniq 103.1fm and NNL online came for the coverage and the students leaders engage and state their demands with reason why they've taken into the streets of the community.

The Policeman were also seen moving with the protesters to ensure the welfarism of the protesters in order not to be hijacked by hoodlums.

Honourable Badmus representing Osogbo central also came in solidarity and after an interaction with the student leaders, the students gave him a letter which has their demands and he promised that their demands will be look into and treated with immediate effect.

The students continue to stand firm and never to relent until there requested is being granted and vows to continue the #DaysOfRage.
