Osun Dep.Gov asks for continued support of the people for Government to deliver.
Deputy Governor, State of Osun Mr Benedict Alabi has said that without the support of the people, it would be difficult for any Government to succeed on its undertakings no matter the commitment of such a Government.
According to him, the success of any Government on whatever policies and Programme put in place is a direct proportion to the level of support being received by the people towards the government.
Mr Alabi disclosed this on Sunday in Ikire, his country home at a special program put together by the Authorities of Irewole Local Government Ikire and Irewole North East LCDA Wasinmi in conjunction with the APC in Ikire in honour of the honourable Commissioner for Finance in the state Mr Bola Oyebamiji.
The special Programme was organised by the two local council authorities and the party to celebrate Mr Oyebamiji on his birthday anniversary. Also to celebrate one year anniversary of his installation as the Balogun Musulumi of Irewole, Ayedaade and Isokan as well as Baba Adinni of Ansar-ud-deen Ikire and on his reappointment as Commissioner for finance by Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
The 3 in 1 canival like programme was graced by the speaker of the state of Osun House of Assembly Rt. Hon Timothy Owoeye and several other party leaders in the state.
Mr Alabi while addressing the mammoth crowd of party faithfuls at the event said that the people of Irewole and Isokan local government areas should count themselves as lucky for the opportunity they have with the caliber of people like himself and the celebrant they have in government at this time which he described as unprecedented.
He assured them that most of their needs in terms of dividends of democracy would be met.
The Deputy Governor announced to the people of Ikire that some critical roads in the town have been mapped out for rehabilitation assuring that work will commence on them in due course.
Mr Alabi congratulated the people of Isokan Local government on the appointment of one of them as a member of the state executive council the opportunity which they have been deprived of, for many years.
