Osun Dep.Gov commends women in Osun for their support for Oyetola's Government.


Deputy Governor State of Osun Mr Benedict Alabi has commended the women in the state for their unalloyed support towards the realisation of Governor Gboyega Oyetola's agenda.


He said the support of the people especially  the women is the source of inspiration behind the good performance of Oyetola's administration within a short period of a year in office.

Mr Alabi stated this on Friday in Ikire, his country home while addressing a mammoth crowd of APC women in Osun West during a sensitization meeting organised for them where hundreds of women from the Opposition party PDP defected to the APC.

Mr Alabi stated that as women, having realized their importance and roles in governance, the present administration under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola will continue to rely on them as a strong pillar of support by renewing its  commitment to their well being.

The Deputy Governor who described the past one year of Oyetola's Government as hopeful, peaceful and inspiring said  the present administration has recorded  giant strides within a year in the areas of health,  economic and infrastructural development, human capital development as well on security and environmental protection.

He pointed out that the recently concluded Osun Economic and Investment Summit held in the state has exposed the state's potentials to investors across the world as the intention about the summit has begun to manifest with the readiness and investment interest indication by many foreign and local investors.

Mr Alabi hinted that the disbursement of #20,000 cash to over 15,000 aged and physically challenged that was flagged off  yesterday in Ejigbo under special grant transfer component of YESSO is to further show the commitment and readiness of Governor Oyetola's administration to give adequate attention to the welfare of the aged and physically challenged people in the state.

He then called on the women to continue to support the government and key into the policies and Programmes of the Oyetola's administration aimed at reviving the economy and bringing prosperity to all.
