Oyetola commends Nigerian Armed forces for the support on security in Osun.

Governor State of Osun Mr Governor Gboyega Oyetola has commended the Armed forces in the country for supporting the state at all time on security

According to him, the peace and security which the state has continued to enjoy over the years which has earned Osun a good reputation as one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria is as a result of the proactiveness of Government with  the total support and cooperation of the Nigeria armed forces especially the nigerian army and nigerian Air Force.

Governor Oyetola gave the commendation on Friday in Osogbo while receiving in audience a visiting team from the Defence Headquarters Abuja led by Brigadier General Idowu Akinlawon who is in the state for sensitization of Students of Secondary schools about the prospect in the Nigerian Armed forces.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy Mr Benedict Alabi assured the team of the readiness of the state to always support the Nigerian Armed forces  in whatever way in the interest of security, peace and unity of the country.

"The greatest asset that we have as a state is our people and we will continue to  do whatever that is needed to secure  our people.

" We are very grateful for your support at all time on security in our dear state especially during the challenge we faced on security in in the recent past.

"As a government, we will continue to support your effort to better secure our territory and for our peaceful coexistence as a nation" Mr Oyetola said.

Speaking, the leader of the team Brigadier General Idowu Akinlawon  said the mission of the team from the Defence Headquarters is to enlighten the Secondary school students on what the military profession entails and the need for them to develop interest and prepare them ahead for the challenges in the profession.
