What we have achieved in a year is superb ~ Says Oyetola

Governor State of Osun Mr Gboyega Oyetola has hinted that the faithfulness of God in the life of his administration in the last one year is superb.

He said that what his administration has been able to achieve in the last one year is unimaginable despite the distractions occasioned by the legal tussle against his election that was on for several months within that one year.

Governor Oyetola disclosed this on Sunday at a
Special Church Thanksgiving Service to Mark his 1st Year in Office  held at St. Benedict  Catholic Cathedral Church, Popo, Osogbo.

The Governor who spoke through his Deputy Mr Benedict Alabi said that his administration has worked assiduously in the last one year to make life meaningful and abundant to the people of the state.

According to him, what his Government has been able to achieve so far in a year in the various sectors include the renovation and equipment of 332 primary health centers with one per each ward across in the state which about 60% of them have been completed, provision of 20 armoured personnel carriers and another 20 new patrol vehicles with communication gadgets as well as renovation of public schools and provision of modern facilities in all the nooks and crannies of the state.

Mr Oyetola pointed it out that his Government has been able to prioritize the welfare of workers and the senior citizens by being faithful to the regular payment of their full salaries.

He maintained that his administration was able to hold Osun Economic and Investment Summit as planned which was recently concluded with a view to use it to showcase the business and investment potential of the state to the whole world in order to stimulate the economy of the state and thereby bringing prosperity to the state and its people.

He used the occasion to appreciate the people of the state for their unflinching support in the last one year.

Governor Oyetola however charged the people of the state to continue to assist his government by being committed to their responsibility of regular payment of taxes and dues.

He said this will enable the government to achieve its goals and bring development to the state and its people as desired.

" This is anniversary of faithfulness of God in the life of our administration, in the last one year, we have worked assiduously to ensure that our lives are better than before.

"We thank God for the journey so far in the last one year and we remain committed to continue to do things that will change the face of the state and our lives as a people for better", Governor Oyetola added.

Present at the special church Thanksgiving service  to Mark a year anniversary of  the present administration which concided with the Christ the King day anniversary of Catholic Church include the Speaker of the state of Osun House of Assembly Rt.Hon Timothy Owoeye, Members of the National Assembly from the State.

Others were the Secretary to the state government Prince Wole Oyebamiji, the Chief of staff to the Governor Dr Charles Diji Akinola, the Head of Service Dr Oyebade Olowogboyega and members of the state Executive Council.
