We are set to renew national and global attention to Osun Osogbo Groove - Lai Mohammed


The African Heritage Focus Initiative International has appreciated the Federal Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Director General of Nigeria Board of Tourism, Dr olusegun Runsewe, and Honourable Minister for Culture and Tourism , Alhaji Lai Mohammed for their role in promoting Osun-Osogbo Festival 2019. 


This was contained in a statement signed by the Public Relation Officer of African Heritage Focus Initiative, Com Olumide and obtained by our correspondent in Osun State.

The Honourable Minister during his visit said osun-Osogbo sacred Grove in Osun State is one of the country's only two world heritage sites.

The statement read in parts, the Minister said "The essence of this is to renew national and global attention on this world heritage site,
Nigeria has many veritable sites that meet the requirements of being declared world heritage sites."

"We are taking immediate steps to first enlist the sites on the tentative list, after which they can be inscribed as World Heritage Sites", he said.

Comrade Olumide noted that this could only be phantom by a well determined team who really wished to promote our cultural values, kudos to all team that worked towards the success of osun-Osogbo festival.

He noted that the African Heritage Focus is dedicated and ready to work with anyone who's ready and have the zeal to promote our cultural values and tourists centers in Africa.

African Heritage Focus however enjoined the DG of tourism board, Dr Olusegun Runsewe and Hon. Minister for Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Lai Mohammed to keep the relentless drives up so as to bring our cultural Heritage centers to the world.

The CEO of Africa Heritage Focus Initiative International however called on all the lovers of arts, culture and traditions to join the NGO so as to collectively redifined, rebrand and promote Africa Cultural Heritage globally through tourism.
