Lockdown: Osun Police Command Dismisses 2 Police Officers Who Reportedly Beat A Woman In Iwo
Osun State Police Command has dismissed two police sergeants, Ikuesan Taiwo and Ibrahim Abass, who reportedly beat a woman at Odori market in Iwo, Osun State.
Standard dailytimes, on Wednesday, April 22, reported the slap which caught the attention of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
The Police Force officers were in the viral video beating the woman during a Covid-19 lockdown in Iwo, Osun state.
The policemen were found blameworthy of all the charges, and since then been dismissed from the Nigerian Police Force.
The Nigerian Police has report its decision to dismiss the policemen as part of the Force’s measures put in place to curb professional lawlessness, and lead to accountability in the system.
The State Commissioner of Police vows that, no human rights violations and abuse of powers will be authorize.
