Sandof Commends Gov. Emmanuel On Cultism, Covid-19 Containment Measures, Hail Christians On Successful Easter Celebration, Amidst Global Pandemic - Emmanuel Ufon

A Christian group in Akwa Ibom State, under the aegis of The Sons and Daughters of Faith (SANDOF) has commended the efforts of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel on containment measures put in place to nip the spread of COVID - 19 in the bud and proscription of cult groups in Akwa Ibom State.


This is contained in a release issued by the group yesterday, signed by the President of the organization, Pastor Etop Nathaniel.


The release stated that proactive measures on the part of Gov Emmanuel has so far curtail the spread of CORONAVIRUS in Akwa Ibom state together with the eairlier proscription of cult groups which helps in reducing crime rate in the state in time like this, while his selfless service during the lockdown had ensured smooth distribution of palliatives to cushion the effects of the lockdown on the people of Akwa Ibom State.

It quoted the President of the organization, Pastor Etop Nathaniel, as saying that the Governor's high sense of responsibility in managing the spread of covid 19 in the state and bravery commitment, prayerful disposition in times like this is keeping the state save from the Virus, while thanking the governor for his genuine desire to create for us the Akwa Ibom State of our dream seen in his industrialization plans, his peace initiative which saw to his recent proscription of different deadly cult groups in the state.












The release also felicitate with all christians in this period of Easter and urge the body of Christ to remember the sacrifice of salvation that was wrought on the Cross of Calvary for humanity by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.


"We urge the Christian youths to rise in support of His Excellency, the Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Mr Udom Emmanuel as he delivers to us the Akwa Ibom State we all dreamt of by shunning vices such as : insult on elders, vandalism, cultism, undue criticism on leaders and other anti - social vices.

" Our appreciation also goes the Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Religious Matter, Reverend Daniel Akwatang for his strength to lead Christians to stand firm with the Governor at all times.

"And moreover to Mr Ekpeno Gold, the Governor's aide on Social Reorientation for his campaign geared towards reintroducing values to our value eroded society.

"Finally, we urge the Christian youths at this time to continue to pray for the governor as he needs our prayers in time like this more".
