Atiku’s Aide Dumps PDP For APC
Erstwhile Imo State House to House coordinator for 2019 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) (Alhaji Atiku Abubakar) Prince Reginald Nwokeji has defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Nwokeji also a former coordinator of the senator, Samuel Anyanwu (aka Sam Daddy) 2019 Governorship Campaign Organisation for the Oru East council area told our correspondent that he was unnatural to abandon the umbrella symbol party in preference to the ruling APC because of lack of internal democracy, rule of law, poverty of visions and ideological principles of the former.
This, he said is at variance with what obtains in the APC where men of progressive minds are given the liberty to make input for the growth and survival of the nation.
Nwokeji, who is the popular Akuma family in Oru East LGA noted that having mastered the nation’s political terrain and as a two-time senator for the Imo West (Orlu zone), Governor Hope Uzodinma is in a position to take the state to greater height.
He said that having now joined the broom symbol party (APC), he would strive to contribute his quota towards the development of the state. Prince Nwokeji, who defected along with other chieftains of the party in the state enjoined politicians to always play the game as stated by the rule to strengthen the nation’s democracy.
Prince Nwokeji, who was equally the 2019 Director General of the Professor Chris Nwokeji campaign organisation for the Oru East, Orsu and Orlu Federal constituency election lauded governor Hope Uzodinma for his giant strides so far especially on measures to control of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and enjoined the people of the State to continue to support him to enable them to reap more democracy dividends.
