HON. BUNMI OBEISUN MAY DAY CELEBRATION MESSAGE.

Today is International Workers Day or May Day, i therefore use this memorable day to celebrate with our great Nigerian Workers in Oriade Local Government and the rest of the World wishing you a joyous day.

However, May Day is not just a Holiday. It is indeed a special Day to rejoice with Workers all over the world for the great sacrifices they make in nation building. It is also a day to reward their steadfastness, innovativeness, loyalty and hard work.

Today's May Day celebration, however, is indeed special and noteworthy.













While I rejoice and congratulate Workers in Oriade Local government over the wage increment, I will like to state firmly that the increment is a bold statement of government's commitment to improved Workers services and productivities and ultimately is ready to give our Workers the much needed impetus and support to succeed in their line of duties and responsibilities.

Once again i salute our faithful Workers in Oriade Local Government on this auspicious day for the great contributions they have made over the past year in accelerated grassroot development of our local government through timely implementation of government policies, services and projects.

We are true partners in progress; and your cooperation and commitment in the discharge of your public duties and responsibilities have largely being responsible for the great successes recorded by this administration over the year.

I therefore urge our workers to justify the good gesture of the government by rededicating themselves and remaining steadfast, diligent, punctual and industrious in their civic responsibilities.
