SUBEB Board Members And The Executives Secretary Held Meeting With LGEA Chairmen.

Hon. Ajibola Famurewa and the Executive Secretary Alhaji Adeoye Bakare, Chief Moshood Adekunle Oluawo, Hon. Amos Akindiya and other board members of Osun State universal Basic Education Board held meeting with the chairmen of Local Government Education Authority across the state. The meeting availed them to congratulate, familiarize and pledge their support for the new leadership of the board. They also use the opportunity to chart the best way to resucitate the educational foundation of the state.

LGA chairmen urged the board members to assist in solving myriad of problems confronting the basic educational system of the state. Such problems are shortage of personnel especially for schools in rural communities, literacy and numeracy problem among the students especially primary 1to primary 4, supervision for schools, low patronage in public schools, insufficiently attractiion in learning, non motivation for rural teachers, absent of effective policy to retain the rural teachers and lack of lgea office.











While responding the Executive Secretary Alhaji Adeoye Bakare thank the Lgea chairmen for the visit. He reiterated that they are very much aware of the problems and that efforts are in top gear to tackle these problems . He added that some of the abandoned schools in each of the local government will be converted to lgea offices. He implores them to ensure that they do things right in their respective local government.

Hon. Amos Akindiya said necessary solutions will be provided. He then promised that all the problems and challenges will be documented for properaction.

Hon. Ajibola Famurewa informed the chairmen his team are on rescue mission to correct all lapses and provide solid educational foundation for the state. He promised that all councils will be provided a befitting lgea offices. He admonished them to ensure functional and result oriented lgea. He added that the era of business as usual has gone and that the board will ensure standardisation of projects, quality assurance will be allow to do their work without any hinderance. He then advised them to work with the fear of God.
