Osun To Enact A Regional And Urban Development Bill – Commissioner Lands
Prospective applicants wishes to apply for the certificate of occupancy C of O have been enjoined to come to the state ministry of lands and physical planning as the era of long waiting period of between ten and fifteen years before getting approval had stopped since Governor Adegboyega Oyetola came on board, now that a survey plan meet the required standard the issuance of C of O in Osun take less than 90days.
The State commissioner for lands and physical planning Hon. Nathaniel Agunbiade dropped the statement in osogbo while speaking during a press briefing.
Since Governor Oyetola had eradicated the long process since 15months ago the Ministry of land had issued over 200 C of O and and 20 to 25 C of O are being process per week which call for new applicants and those who had earlier tried in the past to appear so as to enjoy the goodwill of Mr governor on illegal occupants on government properties.
Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning explained that all the illegal occupants encroachment on government lands and unauthorised extraction of minerals and quarry will be eradicated adding that Mr governor will soon sigh an regional and urban bill when passed by Osun house of assembly he then called all miners and quarry contractor whether on government or private lands to come for permission in the mjn of lands. present at the press briefing were special adviser to Mr Governor on lands, permanent secretary to the ministry of lands and physical planing esv tayo hassan, ambaliyu bolarinwa and other director.
