Osun Former Commissioner, Wale Bolorunduro Marks 54th Birthday At Orphanage Home.

Osun Former Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Wale Bolorunduro, has put smiles on the faces of the orphans at the Osun State Children’s Home, Oke Omiru, Ilesa, by donating food items to the Home as a way of marking his 54th birthday.

Bolorunduro who led his team, friends and well wishers to the Children’s Home said he is always happy identifying with the orphans to give them sense of belonging. The food items donated included bags of rice, semolina, salt, toilet roll and cartons of noodles.

The former commissioner for finance explained that he was not at the Children’s Home to celebrate but reflect on what God has done in his life and thank Him.

Marking his birthday with the orphans was not the first time as he was also at the centre to do the same last year, apart from reaching out to other less privileged people in the society.

According to Bolorunduro, thinking of the less privileged in the society has been part of him ever since his childhood. This, he said he has grown up with and will continue to do to make the society a better place for all to live in.

“I attain the golden age of 54, I have nothing to offer God than praises and adoration. One of the ways of appreciating my God for this golden grace and love for me is to think of the less privileged. I have been privileged to be in this position by God’s grace. There are many others who don’t even have life assurance today, so I think of them too.

“It has been my usual thing that on every 8th of September, which is my birthday, I think of the people who are less privileged in the society and I try to give back by reaching out to them. That is why I came to the Children Home (Orphanage Home), Oke Omiru, to give them what I have for their survival.

The honourable also commended the state government and the management of the Children’s Home for doing their best to take care of the children and give them sense of belongings, just as he called for more support from well-meaning individuals and corporate bodies, saying that government alone cannot do it.

While encouraging the children to always believe in themselves and know that they are not different from all other children, Bolorunduro particularly charged them to face their education and concentrate on how to be succeed in life.

The Oriade local government Chairmanship Aspirant, Akinwale Bimbo Lawanson congratulated him on his 54th birthday and prayed God to continue to straighten and perfect his way.

The orphanage director stressed that reaching out to the less privileged such as the orphans, widows and other vulnerable people in the society makes our worship before God acceptable.

“Usually, not many people have the idea of visiting Children’s Home like this. Those of us who read the Bible and even the Qur’an will know what God says about this. I remember specifically James chapter 1 vs 27 states the type of worship that is acceptable to God. This involves remembering the orphans or widows in their tribulation.

“Those that don’t have parents, husbands or wives have tribulations in their lives. So, intervening this way makes our worship before God acceptable. And we pray that your worship before God shall be acceptable; God will straighten your path and make your presence in Osun politics unique in the history of the state”, Orphanage director added.
