Governor Gboyega Oyetola Becomes NCRIB Fellow
Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) at their last retreat in Ogun state admitted the Executive Governor of Osun State, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola into the Society of Fellows of the Council.
This became pertinent owing to the fact that the governor was once in the insurance industry and was a big player in the country.
Also admitted into the Society of Fellows are the Commissioner for Insurance, Alhaji Mohammed Kari; NCRIB Vice President and Honorary Treasurer, Barrister Rotimi Edu and Mrs. Ekeoma Ezeribe respectively.
The admission of 17 new members brings to total 94 members.
The Society of Fellows is the Committee of all Fellows of the Council, including notable in individuals in the country and abroad.
This admission was ratified at the board meeting of the Council held in Lagos after the successful candidates scaled the hurdle for admission as stated in Section 6, subsection 4a of NCRIB Act No. 21 of 2003.
Mr. Shola Tinubu, President of the Council, disclosed the new Fellows would be required to demonstrate high level of professionalism and assist in taking the profession to greater heights.
He urged the new members to see their new status as an opportunity to shun unethical practices and uphold the tenets of the profession at all times.
After a lecture titled: After Fellowship, What Next, delivered by former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Dr. Tunde Lemo, Tinubu explained that the choice of Lemo was informed by the impeccable image and reputation he earned for himself, but within and outside the country as an economic administrator.
