UNFOLD LETTER TO GOV. GBOYEGA OYETOLA ~ BY MUKTAR AJELOGBON DE-MOON

Your Excellency, while congratulating you on your victory at the apex court in the land as the authentic Governor of State of Osun, I want to accepts as a matter of fact that the Supreme Court validation is an answer to your struggle and a reward to our age long labour for Osun to stand tall in the committee of States in terms of Political stability, human cum economic growth and development.

As a Journalist and campaigner for good governance who always pray for progress of our dear state, I have decided to praise and constructively criticize your administration where necessary. I write you this letter to offer my contribution if I am not too ordinary to advice your Excellency. Please, consider the below points worthy of consideration.

I) Sir, setup your full cabinet on time, while members of your cabinet should consist of people with proven integrities, educationally sound and morally upright. He/she should understand grassroot politics, and that politics is about serving the people not for personal aggrandizement.

II) As you have assured Osun workers and pensioners of prompt payment of their salaries, pension and arrears, you must also listing to them and offer balms to their altered rights. So mush you will be asked; so much you must answer.

III) Complete all uncompleted projects embarked upon by your predecessor, most especially the ring road in Osogbo (west bypass), Osogbo Iwo, Ila-odo roads, and desist from naming some monumental projects after 'foreigners'.

Iv) While wooing investors to partner with Osun, adequate security of lives and properties must be the utmost priority under your watch as the Chief Security Officer of the State of Virtue.

V) Calling the aggrieved members of Osun political stakeholders to work as team to move Osun forward is highly important. Don't forget that 2022 is almost here.

VI) Your Excellency must note that you will be accessed base on your performance within the first 2-year in office which you have spent 7 months already.

Mr Governor, this advice were made not only for your soft landing but to sustain our democracy, the All Progressives Congress, and for the common man in the state.

I wish you a successful tenure of office, and I pray for peace, guidance and protection of Allah over you and your family.
