Ministerial Appointment, S'Court Judgement: Osun celebrates Aregbesola, Oyetola with fanfare

The Osun Government House was filled to capacity yesterday as members and leaders of the All Progressives Congress(APC) converged to celebrate the ministerial appointment of the immediate-past governor of the state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, and the Supreme Court victory of the incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

The venue became a rendezvous for political fellowship and exchange of pleasantries as the members of the APC political family, their well-wishers, friends and relations thronged the place.

Members of the state executive of the APC who were on the entourage of the state Chairman of the party, Prince Gboyega Famodun, were also visible on the occasion.

The state APC Director of Publicity, Strategy and Research, Barr Kunle Oyatomi and Kola Olabisi, the Media Consultant to the party chairman, were also in attendance.

In his remark on the occasion, Famodun stated that it was a thing of joy to celebrate the success of the two eminent APC leaders in the state, explaining that whoever identifies with a successful person would also be blessed by the reason of such celebration.

He enjoined the stakeholders of the party not to operate on a fast lane with reference to scheming for political appointments, adding that " the government of Governor Oyetola is doing all necessary things  to satisfy the yearnings and expectations of the people in this regard".

The State party Chairman  stated that the party under his watch shall continue to drink from the political fountain of knowledge of the elders of the party for its improved fortune  in the overall interest of the people of the state.

Famodun who said this at the occasion tagged 'celebratory banquet in honour of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Minister of Interior and the state Governor Gboyega Oyetola', explained further that the younger ones require the wisdom of the elders to excel in their endeavours.

He recalled that during the travails of the party and Governor Oyetola at the Election Petition Tribunal, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, the elders of the party were always there to give their pieces of advice that subsequently facilitated the overall victory of the APC in the state.

Famodun also stated that some traditional rulers in the state were never tired of giving valuable pieces of advice to both the party and the government.

Quite a significant number of traditional rulers in the state were also in attendance on the occasion of the celebration of Aregbesola as the Minister of Interior and the Governor Oyetola Supreme Court victory.
