Press Week: AKOL Charges Journalists on Healthy Living ~ Nationnewslead
Journalists have been challenged to engage in one exercise or physical activities, no matter how little on a daily or regular basis, irrespective of their busy schedule.
The Special Adviser to the State of Osun Governor on Public Health, Dr Olasiji Olamiju popularly known as AKOL gave the charge during a “Health Walk” exercise organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Osun Council in commemoration of its ongoing 2019 Press Week Celebration in Osogbo.
The Special Adviser, while commending the NUJ Chairman, Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji said the advantage of the health walk is so much that it cannot be overemphasis when it comes to health promotion and awareness.
He noted that, "exercise is like an induction process to sensitize the functional organs of the body for optimal performance."
"This health walk is worthwhile, having trekked all the way from the NUJ press centre down here, our body biochemical system has received a sort of induction for better and normal sustainer system. It is something we should be doing almost on regular basis."
The NUJ press week “Health Walk” took off from the Press Center at Technical college area to Okefia, Alekuwodo to Olaiya/MDS/Orisunmbare/old garage and terminated at the Nelson Mandela freedom park.
