Professor Mr/Mrs Oyewole Ajifolokun Conferred Chieftaincy Titles Of Babajiro & Yeye Babajiro Of Ijebu Ijesa

Professor Oyewole Ajifolokun and wife have a Date with History as the duo are Set to be Conferred Chieftaincy titles of Babajiro and Yeye Babajiro of Ijebu-Jesa.

The duo of professor and wife will be  conferred with the Chieftaincy titles of Bobajiro and Yeye Bobajiro of Ijebu-Jesa by the Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Moses Oluwafemi Agunsoye, Abikehin Ekun Agunsoye II today.

The conferment of the Bobajiro and Yeye Bobajiro of Ijebu-Jesa titles on the Ajifolokun’s is coming up in recognition of their philanthropic gestures and goodwill, and this is scheduled to hold at the Palace of the Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa and to be followed by a grand reception at Timsed Hotel, Ijebu-Jesa.

As part of the philanthropic stance of the couple, a newly constructed Hand -Pump Bore-hole and a renovated Motor Park will be commissioned today by the Deputy Governor, State of Osun. Mr Benedict Olugboyega Alabi.


The professor and wife also extend  scholarship award to the  outstanding students  in the community, Professor Oyewole Ajifolokun who is hails from Ekemode-Ajifolokun Ruling House of Ere-Ijesha is a veterinarian, professor and a businessman.

 The Professor graduated from Ijebu-Jesa Grammar School and proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University and later, Institute of Agricultural Research and Training, Ibadan where he graduated with distinction in Animal Health and Husbandry. He then proceeded to University of Ibadan and obtained his doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine.

The veterinary guru also holds master degree in Business Administration (MBA) and several other certifications in his field of study.

Prof. Ajifolokun’s work experiences span several years both in Nigeria and in the United States of America. While in Nigeria before he left to United States, he worked   as a veterinary sales representative with the Veterinary division of May and Baker and later with Turner Wright (Nig.) Limited,Lagos.

His strong and brilliant academic  excellence made him to be accepted into teaching profession in the United States of America where he taught for few years at Praire State College, South Suburban College and City Colleges of Chicago as a professor of Biology before he secured a tenured appointment with University of Illinois Extension, Chicago as a professor and Extension Veterinarian.

He rose through the rank and file and later served as the Chairman of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) team of the university.

The Ijesa/Osomalo traits in Prof. Ajifolokun has made him to venture into business in addition to his academic work. He is the Chairman and managing director of PRINAJ SERVICES, INCORPOTATED (USA), PRINAJ INTERNATIONAL LIMITED (NIGERIA)-a full-service freight forwarding and logistic provider and PRINAJ AVIATION SERVICES LIMITED.

His hard work and excellent performances have earned him several awards among which includes University of Illinois Extension,  State team Award for Interdisciplinary Excellence, Distinguished Alumni Award, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ibadan, Academic and Business Excellence Awards from Shekinah International Magazine (USA), Lifetime Achievement Award from Nigeria American Professional Association (NAPA) , Humanitarian Award   from Egbe Omo Obokun, Ijesha-land (Chicago Chapter) among others.

Professor Ajifolokun met his beautiful wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Olufunke Ajifolokun when he was a student at university of Ibadan. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajifolokun holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and a Master of Science in Veterinary Microbiology from University of Ibadan. She also holds Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practitioner (DNP) from University of Michigan, USA.
 
Their marriage is blessed with three children.

PROF. AJIFOLOKUN’S PHILANTROPIC GESTURES
Professor Ajifolokun is a philanthropist who believes in helping the less privileged and giving back to the society and community where he grew up.

He established Adedoyin Ajifolokun Memorial Foundation (AAMF) in memory of his late father. This is a Non-Profit making and Non-Political education focused charity foundation through which he has been able to reach many communities. The Foundation was established to provide support to educational institutions, offer financial assistance to young and brilliant students who may otherwise have financial difficulty in pursuing their academic goals. The Foundation also assist in infrastructural development and provision of social amenities to the community.

The followings are the highlights of some of the achievements of the Foundation
1.​Renovation of a completely dilapidated block of six classrooms in Ere-Ijesa Community Grammar School in Oriade Local Government area of Osun State, Nigeria where his father was a pioneer member of the community that built the school.

2.​Renovation of a block of 4 classrooms at Ijebu-Jesa Grammar School, Osun State (This is Dr. Ajifolokun’s Alma alter).

3. In collaboration with the Rotary Club of Osogbo, provided a motorized borehole water system to Ere-Ijesha community.

4.​Endowment of a yearly prize award for the best graduating students in Ere-Ijesha Community Grammar School, Osun State, Nigeria in both arts and science.

5.​ Endowment of prize award at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, for the best graduating student in the department of Veterinary Microbiology.

6.​Employment of auxiliary teachers for Ere-Ijesa Community Grammar School.

7. Endowment of a yearly scholarship award for Nigerian students’ resident in United States of America pursuing careers in medicine, engineering and law.
8.​Offering of Scholarship awards for brilliant but indigent students in Oriade Local Government of Osun State. (One of the recipients of the scholarships award will be receiving his check at the reception after this program).

9. Provision of hand-pump borehole water system and Renovation of abandoned National Union of Road Transport (NURT) Motor Park along Ijebu-Jesa-Esa-oke road (The commissioning of the Park will be taking place today immediately  after this ceremony).

Professor Ajifolokun through this Foundation shall continue to support the youths, the community and other educational institutions in providing quality education and sustainable infrastructures.
