Osun Govt Continues With Road Rehabilitation Across Major Cities


The state government of Osun has continued the rehabilitation of major roads across the cities in the state, this is in line with the agenda of Oyetola's led administration to make all roads in the state motorable for users.

This effort was said to reduce rate of road accident and also ease business activities of the people in the affected communities within the state.

Speaking to Newsmen In Osogbo, the state capital, supervisor for Osun Roads Maintenance Agency ( ORMA) who doubles as the Special Adviser to the Governor on works and Transportation, Engr Olatoke Hussein Olaniyan, said the state government is focusing on maintenance of roads that immediate past adminstration has constructed for durability as well as to serve the purpose it was built for.

Engr Olatoke said that Road rehabilitation is currently ongoing along Oke Fia to Old Garage road, old garage to station road all within Osogbo,  While others will commence soon.

"Roads Construction and rehabilitation are works of the government and I urge our people to desist from acts that will damage the roads".  He said

"Once  we have a good road network and motorable to ply, this will definitely attract investors into the state, his Excellency, Gboyega Oyetola is optimistic that our state will be among best states in Nigeria and west Africa at large." He Noted

The Special Adviser said, Governor Gboyega Oyetola has instructed Osun Roads maintenance agency to ensure they build quality roads that will be durable and stand the test of time.

He opined that good road network is part of civilization and social responsibility of government to his people, and any state with such will enjoy patronage of neighboring states as well as local and foreign investors.

some commuters plying these road are full of appreciations to the state government through the agency, they say the state government does not turn deaf hear to the yarning of the residents and motorists plying the road.
