Famodun Felicitates With Oyetola On Osun PDP Final Burial At S'Court

With the final burial of the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) as manifested today with the Supreme Court determination of the protracted governorship tussle in favour of the incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola, the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Prince Gboyega Famodun, has congratulated the governor and dedicated the victory to God and the entire progress-loving people of the state.

Famodun who reacted to the Supreme Court judgement that gave victory to the APC incumbent governor through his Media Consultant, Mr Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo on Friday said, the development connotes victory for democracy and total liberation for the people of Osun.

The state party chairman who said he is appreciative of the support of the people of the state for the government of Oyetola during the legal distraction of the APC-led administration in the state recalled that there was nothing he had earlier said about the unpopular Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) with particular reference to the defeated governorship candidate of the party, Senator Ademola Adeleke, that has not come to reality.

Famodun stated that it is on record that three days ago, he foretold the PDP's superlative preparation for the judgement as an arrangement for its imminent interment as all efforts for its revival came to naught.

He pleaded with the jubilant APC members and their supporters to rejoice and celebrate the victory with moderation and refuse to be provoked by the PDP undertakers who have vamoosed from circulation since the judgement was pronounced in favour of Governor Oyetola.

Famodun said, with the success of the APC at the Supreme Court, it now dawns on the PDP handlers that it's not an overstatement to be in tune with a popular saying that "if the concubine of one's mother is greater than one's biological father, there is no any other name to call him other than father".

In the party chairman's words: "But we told these PDP handlers that their chosen route could only lead to perdition and journey of no return.

"We did not also fail to tell them that that there was nothing in their petition but they decided to continue in the deceitful game with their followers with reckless abandon. The resultant effect of undue political stubbornness  was what manifested at the Supreme Court today", he stated.

Famodun disclosed that now that the political irritant called the PDP has being permanently laid to rest by the Supreme Court judgement, he assured the people of the state of qualitative delivery of dividends of democracy by the administration of Governor Oyetola.

He hinted that it is a known fact that the success of Governor Oyetola at the Supreme Court has been enhancing peaceful atmospheric condition in the state as no single incident of violence has being witnessed or reported since the judgement of hope and prosperity was delivered today.

Famodun tasked the APC members and supporters not to pay evil with evil with the PDP handlers and leave vengeance to God.

"Only God knows what would have happened in the state, if the success story of the governorship tussle has been in favour of the PDP today.  But for the mere fact that we are not like them, there is absolute peace in the state.

"You will observe that majority of the PDP known faces and their foot soldiers have either gone into hiding or too dazed to have lost their voices.

"Despite the fact that it's politics that divides us, we, APC and PDP members, are brothers and sisters whom hands of fellowship should be extended to until the shame associated with the loss of the election would take leave from them", the APC party helmsman counselled.
Five Supreme Court Justices had earlier today seen merit in the Oyetola justification to sustain his governorship seat of Osun State against two other Justices whose judgement was in favour of the defeated Senator Ademola Adeleke.
